Videoinstallation 1999. Title: On the other side of the wall
For the portrait hall I made a super modern self-portrait. I was sitting in a small space in between walls, hidden inside the architecture of the museum, not visible to the guests, and surrounded by ventilation pipes and all kinds of electronic equipment provided to regulate the airflow, temperature, humidity and so on in the museum. A video camera transmitted my picture directly to a monitor in the portrait hall during the open hours of the exhibition. The show was on for two weeks.
Shown at Moderna Museet (The Museum of Modern Art), Stockholm, Sweden, as part of the project Ingrepp (Enroachment) arranged by The Malmö Artacademy and The Museum of Modern Art.
